Sports
I’m quite active in sport. I used to play soccer a lot at home so I’m pretty good at it. I started to learn tennis last summer since all of my friends are doing it. It’s kinda fun, but right now, I’m trying to get better at rock climbing.
- Soccer: I play soccer every Saturday at Georgia Tech field with a small team of Vietnamese friends
- Rock climbing: Currently climb indoor at Wall Crawler Rock Climbing Club every Tuesday and Thursday after work.
- Tennis, Racque-ball, Basketball: Monday and Wednesday, whenever there’s a game with my co-worker.
- Ultimate frisbee: Used to play this sport a lot in college. It’s a very demanding sport. I should get back to run some more. Throwing disc was always fun.
- Miscellaneous: You name it: Table-tennis, pool, badminton, swimming, bicyling, …. but not running/jogging. I don’t see the purpose of “run till you drop,” I rather run myself to death chasing a disc, a ball; in other word, meaningful running.
Non-sweating activities
- Playing guitar: I started out with Classical music and still in love with those beautiful, peaceful pieces. Been playing for around 7 years, but no etude please, too hard for me anyway
. - Watching movies: I like “mess-up” movies such as those of Quentin Quarantino. Other favorite titles includes Seven, Dogville, Fightclub, The Shawshank Redemption…
- Reading books: Mostly non-fiction titles like “The World is Flat” of Thomas something, “The Tipping Point” of Malcom Gladwell; also magazines like the “Business Weeks,” “Times,” or “Fast Company”
- Playing PS2 games: like Guitar Hero 2, Winning Eleven (soccer game): even though I try not to get involve too much since those game are just way too addicted.
- … and of course Coding: besides work, anything small, fun, challenging and I’m ready to jump in.
